We walk with our guests amongst our hand raised Emus. They each have a look and character. This is a very unique and grounding experience.
Driving the resort in your dedicated golf cart is straight out of a movie. Learn about the Emus, their habitat and breeding cycle, what they eat, what they do and when.
They are an amazing animal.
Depending on your interest you can enjoy the various phases of the Emus life cycle. All of our guests can get up close and personal with our birds.
There is nothing quite like it.
Check out the safari experience in this short video.
After sunset, and sometimes during the day, guests can join our host for a private exploration of our skies.
We can also view the Sun safely, when conditions are favourable, using a special solar lens.
Our outdoor virtual Solar System display lets us explore and question what we are looking at in the sky and do some Q&A.
Guests have exclusive access with our host to our 11 inch telescope and observatory which is a great platform for observation and long exposure astrophotography.
We have all the equipment for photography for you to download and take away.
This is a photograph from our telescope of a stunning nebula and surrounding stars. We enjoy different nebula at different times of the year.
Call us if you want to book a charter to catch something in particular and we can let you know the best opportunity to visit us.
From watching the most hypnotic full moon rise in the Winter months from the guest house deck at sunset to exploring the craters and stunning features on the Moon through the telescope, guests are always amazed at our closest celestial neighbour.
Take away stunning images from photos you take with our DSLR camera or use your phone attached to the telescope's eye piece.
This is an image of the nearby Sombrero Galaxy some 18 million light years away.
You can see this in the eye piece but for those guests interested we can invest the time to photograph this and other galaxies when the time of year is perfect and the conditions favourable (usually from April through July).
